Food Order Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all food orders and catering services provided by Richie’s Caribbean Spices Ltd, including private events, corporate and office orders, delivery, and collection.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

 

PART 1. MASTER FOOD ORDER TERMS

Applies to all orders, no exceptions.

  1. Orders and Confirmation
  • All orders must be confirmed in writing via invoice, email, WhatsApp confirmation, or approved ordering system.
    • An order is only confirmed once payment or deposit has been received.
  1. Payments
  • All deposits are non-refundable.
    • Final payment terms depend on the service type and will be stated on the invoice or order confirmation.
    • Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of the order or refusal of future service.
  1. Cancellations
  • Cancellation terms vary by service type and are set out in Part 2 below.
    • Any cancellation outside the permitted window will be charged in full.
  1. Menu Availability and Substitutions
  • All menu items are subject to availability.
    • If an item becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute with a similar item or issue a partial refund.
  1. Allergies and Dietary Requirements
  • Customers must notify us of all allergies and dietary requirements at the time of ordering.
    • While we take reasonable care, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
  1. Food Safety and Quality
  • Once food has been delivered or collected, responsibility for food safety transfers to the customer.
    • We are not liable for food quality issues caused by delayed collection, improper storage, or reheating.
  1. Liability
  • Richie’s Caribbean Spices Ltdis not liable for any loss, damage, or injury except where caused by our proven negligence.
    • Our liability is limited to the value of the order supplied.
  1. Force Majeure
  • We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, supplier failure, government restrictions, or emergencies.
  1. Governing Law
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
    • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.

 

PART 2. SERVICE RULES

These explain how each service works.

A. Private Events Catering

Booking and Deposits

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the event date.
    • For bookings more than 14 days in advance, a 50% deposit is required.

Final Payment

  • The remaining balance is due on arrival on the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations made 15 days or more before the event forfeit the deposit.
    • Cancellations within 14 days of the event are charged at 100% of the agreed total.

Menu and Guest Numbers

  • Final menu selection must be confirmed at least 14 days before the event.
    • Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 7 days before the event.
    • Charges are based on the confirmed guest count or actual attendance, whichever is higher.

Venue Requirements

  • Clients must ensure suitable access, power supply, and space for setup.
    • Setup and breakdown require approximately 30–60 minutes each.
    • Damage to equipment or property caused by clients or guests will be charged.

B. Corporate and Office Orders

Ordering and Payment

  • Corporate orders must be confirmed in writing.
    • Payment terms will be stated on the invoice.
    • Late payment may result in refusal of future orders.

 

Changes and Cancellations

  • Changes must be requested no later than 5 working days before delivery.
    • Cancellations within 5 working days of delivery are charged in full.

C. Delivery Orders

Delivery Terms

  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
    • We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, or access issues.

Failed Deliveries

  • Failed deliveries due to incorrect address, no access, or customer unavailability are non-refundable.

D. Collection Orders

Collection Times

  • Orders must be collected at the agreed time.
    • Late collection may affect food quality and will not be refunded.
